iGrow had recently reported that VentureNursery started the third session of incubation for five startups, a thirteen week session. Along with, starting the third session, the incubators have opened up applications for the fourth session which is slated to begin on October 1, 2013.
The incubation centre is currently focused on six sectors including Media & Entertainment, Retail, e-Commerce, Consumer Technology, Education and CleanTech. The centre is a mix of Angels-in-Residence and Charter Angels, Advisors-in-Residence and Executives-in-Residence to provide complete support to the start-ups.
One of India’s leading design company, Tata Elxsi, has signed its first startup for its recently launched incubation centre incub@TE. The centre has appointed Big V Telecom, an emerging tech start-up that offers customized Business Telephony Solutions for businesses and consumers. Currently operational with its solution in select region, the company now looks at scaling its presence across India and also various international markets.
Founded and led by Keshor Daga, Big V has won the “Most Innovative franchise business in the service sector” award by BIG Research in partnership with NDTV Profit; “Most Innovative Managed Services” during Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2012; and “Business Excellence Awards” by the Institute of Economic studies.
India has been a country which has produced some of world’s greatest and successful entrepreneurs, is now seeing a new generation of startups. Five such startups will soon get their share of incubation, thus becoming a successful venture, as VentureNursery begins its third season.
India’s first angel-backed accelerator had received over 150 submissions from 29 cities.
