Future Group which is working towards a special retail model for its fashion brands, is, on the other hand, also looking at divesting its stake in three fashion brands. Clarks, Celio and Turtle will be divested in next one year.
According to CP Toshniwala, CFO, Future Group, the company will raise Rs 800 crore by selling stake in these three brands. Future Group holds 50 per cent stake in Celio and Clarks which in Turtle the stake is 26 per cent.
Along with fashion brand, the group also looks at finding PE partners for eZone, the electronic retail store and HomeTown, the home furnishing and improvement retail store.
Future Retail has a debt of Rs 4,500 crore and lot of steps have been taken to curb this, the biggest being selling Pantaloons to ABRL.

After successful operations in Ghaziabad, New Delhi and Agra, Bansal Corporation Ltd, is all set to launch their fourth mall in Dehradun on 16th August. Named as Pacific Doon, the mall is all set to bring in some exclusive brands which have not yet reached the city. The mall will house brands including Lifestyle, KFC, Bata, Celio, French Connection, Clarks, Parcos, Being Human, Calvin Klein Jeans, Jack and Jones and others.
According to an interaction with Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Mall, he ensured that its strategically right to have Pacific Doon as the city is all geared to spend but don’t have a strong access to premium brands. Its time that the audience their can reach these brands.
The opening will have a lot of special events and will be going for a few days to come.
About the mall: The mall has a gross leasable area of 3,00,000 sq.ft and is built on five floors including two levels for basement parking covering 1,50,000 sq.ft of space. The basement space can accommodate 600 cars and 200 two wheelers at once. The mall also has an atrium space of about 20,000 sq.ft is being designed at the main entrance lobby.
