The US donut brand Dunkin’ Donuts opens its third outlet outside Delhi-NCR and Punjab, this time at Dehradun. Managed by the master franchisee, Jubilan Foodworks, the latest restaurant opened at the recently opened Pacific Mall in the city.
The restaurant will offer more than donuts, the menu including sandwiches, burgers, a wide range of beverages and more.
Celebrating the launch, the outlet ran special offer, wherein it gave away a year long free donut supply coupons to people who dined in on the launch day.
India is slowly and gradually accepting luxury and increasing the space for luxury in India. According to a recent report by Cushman & Wakefield, luxury in India will acquire 1.44 per cent of the total retail market by 2015 as against one per cent currently, while the total retail malls stock is set to increase by 27 per cent by 2015.
Highlighting the changing luxury retail scenario in India, the report suggests that total current operational mall space in the organised retail sector across the top seven cities of India is estimated at 66 million (approx.) sq. ft. of which luxury retail space is only 770,000 sq. ft.
Of the seven cities, Delhi/NCR leads the space acquisition at 38 per cent, followed by 21 per cent in Mumbai and 17 per cent in Bengaluru.Due to a strong mall culture and fashion hubs in the country, NCR and Mumbai lead the show while a great level of disposable incomes and a leading IT hub Bengaluru has become the third best destination. The chain will open two stores by end of this year both in the NCR region. While one will open at the upmarket Select Citywalk (a must for all the first timers) and Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. The two names suggests that Johnny Rockets plans to operate more in the upmarket or premium segment of the market. Moreover, the same becomes obvious with the pricing of burgers which will range from Rs 275-Rs375 (any takers?). World’s third largest jewellery retailer, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, along with celebrating 20 years of existence has opened its 100th store in India. Located at Gold Souk, Gurgaon, with this new store the brand aims retail presence across the country.
The jewellery retailer has a strong presence across South India and Middle-Eastern countries will now expand it presence in cities including Gurgaon, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Internationally, the brand aims to expand in Singapore, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangkok, over the next few months. The new cities and countries are being looked at to accelerate sales.

Select Citywalk is slowly and gradually becoming a cosmetic destination. with Bobbi Brown opening its door in July, Chanel is all set to open its store. The store will be placed right between Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder.
Presently, the brand is doing product preview through a kiosk placed in the mall aisle near MAC.
Additionally, Deborah which had opened next to TUI Travels has been shut in short span of time and now will be replaced by Forest Essentials.

Inorbit Malls, a part of K Raheja Group, opens its first mall in Gujarat and sixth in the country. Located in Vadodara, off the Genda Circle, Gowda Road, the mall is all set to bring in a retail space of 4.74 lakh square (total build up area) and nearly 30 new brands to the city. Some of the anchor names include Hypercity, Shoppers Stop and Marks & Spencer.
With this new mall, the group now has an operational retail space of 31 lakh sq ft and with a successful entry in Vadodara aims to take Inorbit to tier II and III cities including Mysore in Karnataka, Coimbatore in Tamilnadu and Nagpur. The only focus will be strong catchment areas.
The mall has been built at a cost of Rs 300 crore.
