The two level store offers a complete retail experience to the consumer who walks in. The ground floor has nearly 12 luxury international designerwear brands for both men and women. A surprise element on the ground floor is a small corner of The Wishing Chair.

The second floor is Ritu Dalmia’s Diva restaurant, a JV between the two, it is known as Diva Kitsch. Going further the store premises will also have art and photography which can be bought.

Watch for this space, review coming in few hours. For pictures like us on Facebook.

Within the hustle bustle launch and friends dropping in to congratulate the sister duo, iGrow got to speak with Charu Sachdev.

  • iGrow: Why Defence Colony, a place which has India’s finest fashion designers in a row?

Charu: Delhi deserves its own fashion street akin to the ‘Bond Street/ Madison Avenue’ which has a mix of fashion, art & interiors. And I think, with the designers already present, we are only bringing in the streak of some international designers. It’s all about co-existing, and with Kitsch, the street will soon be Delhi’s fashion street.

  • iGrow: What would be the destination next for Kitsch?

Charu: We are now looking at Bandra in Mumbai, to open a destination store like this.

  • iGrow: Do you look at bringing the new concept of destination store to existing stores?

Charu: Yes we look at upgrading the existing stores as well and add new designers to it as well. Hopefully we will expand the portfolio from 12 designers to 15 by end of 2013.

When asked, if possibly private label could be the next step? Charu chuckled and responded, “well now that’s a good idea.”
