The jewellery retailer, Gitanjali, seems to be hitting the expansion mode. Within days after opening its 99th store in Bhuj, the retailer opened its 100th store in Gurgaon yesterday.
Inaugurated by Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, the store is spread across 5,500 sq ft and offers brands including Asmi, Nakshatra, D’damas, Gili, Diya, Parineeta, Sangini, Nizam, Ananya and Gitanjali gold.
With the launch, Santosh Srivastava, Managing Director, Gitanjali Jewels, is upbeat about opening 60 new stores in next 18 month and aims to touch the mark of 300 stores soon.
The fashion and lifestyle e-retailer, Myntra.com has appointed Vikas Ahuja as its Chief Marketing Officer. Ahuja, who has last served Nestle as Country Business Manager, will be be responsible for driving the complete brand strategy for Myntra including sales and marketing functions.
At Nestle, Ahuja led Nestle’s successful brands including Bar-One, Milky-Bar, Kit-Kat, Munch, Nescafe, and Maggi among others. Prior to this he has worked at various roles at Nestle India and Nestle Vietnam and has been a part of the founding team of the e-learning portal eGurucool.com.
Google India launches its special initiative Women Entrepreneurs on the Web (WeOW). This initiative will help Indian female entrepreneurs to connect, grow their online presence, and utilize Google products to launch and scale their businesses. As part of the program, entrepreneurs can also connect with customer, track and optimise their efforts along with connecting with other entrepreneurs through communities.
